Technical SEO & broken pages
Spider Juice Technologies technical SEO findings: broken portfolio and review pages, exposed shortcodes, sitemap errors, mobile performance, and conflicting schema.
The proof pages don't render.
An old page builder (shortcodes beginning [jk_) was removed or deactivated, but pages built with it were never rebuilt. Those pages now print the builder's raw code as visible text — confirmed in a JavaScript-rendered fetch on WordPress 7.1.2 / Divi 4.27.8.
| Page | What a visitor sees | Indexable? |
|---|---|---|
| /portfolio/ | Only raw builder code. The intended blocks were industry labels (Painter, Plumbing, Real Estate…) linking to a separate domain — not named client projects. | Yes |
| /reviews/ | Only raw builder code for a "Customers Feedback" carousel. No reviews. | Yes |
| /about-us/ | Raw code around the older About copy (a second About page). | Yes |
| 8 more pages | /faq/, /call-tracking-2/, /design-1/, /news/, /customer-feedback/, /sitemap/, /privacy-policy/, /terms-of-service/ | Yes |
A further set of service pages exist but carry effectively no body copy: /web-design/ (3 words beyond the template), /social-media-management/ (4), /video/ (4) and /customer-feedback/ (3). The agency sells web design and social media management; neither has a page that describes the service.

- The sitemap robots.txt advertises doesn't exist. It points crawlers at /sitemap.xml, which returns the homepage HTML with a 200 status. The real sitemap is at /sitemap_index.xml.
- Two schema generators disagree. Rank Math and WordLift both emit an Organization with different identifiers. The article author is marked up as a Person named "SEO" with a default avatar.
- No visible address. The Torrance street address appears only in machine-readable markup, never on the contact page — and the local-SEO plugin's locations file is empty.
- 70% of all backlinks come from one client site. 1,171 of 1,671 are a single sitewide footer credit — "Carol Gilles Realtor · A Spider Juice Technologies project" — repeated on every page of beachcitiesonline.com. That site shares Spider Juice's nameservers, hosting block and DNS admin contact, and runs a custom wp-sjt-schema plugin: it is a property Spider Juice appears to manage (see Backlink profile). A repeated sitewide credit is not equivalent to the same number of independent editorial endorsements. Shared infrastructure alone does not establish how Google weights these links. The remaining footer links, from seven domains, are all nofollow.
- The one bright spot: Lighthouse SEO scores 100, with titles, meta and crawlability in order, and all 19 homepage images carry alt text. It is polish on an engine that doesn't run: technically indexable pages with nothing on them worth ranking.
